I think that many people must have read the novels "the catcher in the rye"by J.D Salinger. what do u think of the role Holden Caulfield? The book describles the teenager's thoughts and activities ,during which he describles a developing nervous breakdown ,symptomised by his bouts of unexplained depression,impulsive spending and generally odd,erratic behavior,pior to his eventual nervouss collapse. However,during his psychological battle,life continues on around as it always had.People ignore the things happened to him until it begins to encroach on their well defined social codes.Is it society which has lost its mind for failing to see the hopelessness of their lives?
