natural remedies to lower cholesterol

I was diagnosed with high cholesterol several years ago. My doctor wanted to put me on Zocor, but I chose not to. I am trying to watch what I eat and exercise. I also took a supplement called Cholest-Off for a while, but it really didn't seem to be much help. My cholesterol has improved slightly, but I would love to bring it down to a normal level. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Eat sunflower seeds. When you go to the bathroom you'll see your fecal matter has a "greasy look". That's cholesterol going out of your blood and your body.

Check this out - http://www.michaelswengel.com/BiosLife/index.html This is much better than ANYTHING else out there. Plus, it's listed in the Physician's Desk Reference and is highly recommended by the Cleveland Clinic - the leading heart institute on the planet! Regards, Michael

I've been told that flax seed and flax seed oil lower bad chloresterol but have not done research yet on it. Maybe someone can shed some light on flax seed properties.

I, too, have been diagnosed with minor high cholesterol, and I'm doing it with diet. I also take fish oil capsules and eat foods that tend to lower cholesterol, such as fiber and cereals. We'll see how it goes when I get it checked again in six months. Losing weight is also a major factor in lowering cholesterol, which is what I'm doing now. I never eat fried foods anymore, as this plays a big factor in cholesterol.
