Hello. Has anyone been alittle ticted off with the cost of shipping on ebay? I am. You buy something for $5 and pay $34 to ship when they dont tell you how much it is to ship and someone who doesn't know how ebay works they get ripped off or negative feedback. I thing the price of shipping should be the price of shipping. not a way to make money on top of money. If anyone has been takin by the shipping cost on any of these sites please let me know. Thanks Mike

i bought an item on ebay for $5 and you could buy it for 8 by the buyer tried charging $175 in shipping charges. the item only weighed 4 pounds. but that was when i was new to ebay. And relized that you always ask how much to ship before you buy and find out where it is coming for first. if it is coming for china you can buy it cheaper in a store. and they also deal in pounds. you have to watch that also!

A few things on that, as mentioned above many times sellers do that to avoid the ebay fees. Also keep in mind it's "shipping and handling" they they can legitatmately charge more than "just the exact shipping cost". Now see as a buyer if you are interested in buying something and you notice nothing is filled out in the shipping cost section, use the "contact the seller" link to find that information out before bidding and that will help you avoid that problem

The Golden Rule of Buying on eBay is *Get a shipping quote before bidding!* (Actually, it may be: Pay with your Credit Card, but the shipping thing is definitely up there.) Always calculate the cost of shipping in the price of the item you are considering. Keep in mind, not all sellers post shipping costs because they are so highly variable depending on postal code, etc. As was mentioned before, eBay allows sellers to add handling costs to their shipping charge... A seller may spend a lot of time and materials getting an item ready to ship and would rather be compensated for that in the shipping&handling fee, rather than in the item price (for which they much pay a fee.)

that why you should check the seller reputation and ask the seller about shipping fees before start bidding..to avoid misunderstood..i always did that before i start bidding or choose to buy it now..so far i am satisfy with my purchase..the books is in cheap price and the shipping fees is realistic..
