We Should Count Our Blessings, A lot of Families are Facing Worse Luck than Us

I thought that this would be a good time of the year for us to count our blessings. Sometimes we think that we have it really bad, that people are so much luckier than us. I thought that this would be a good time to share some stories of families/people that you know of who have had bad luck and explain their situation (you don't have to give names or anything).
A family that I know of who had bad luck faced losing their mother to suicide and less than a year later lost their home to a fire (pictures and all).

I am thankful that the year has passed 2006.Many things happen. We almost got into a fire but with God's Grace we were saved. I am thankful that we my family are still intact and we have enough food and we had shared what we have last year inspite the difficulties we are facing.

You are right. It's funny, I was just thinking yesterday about this same thing, about how much I need to count my blessings and remember that there are so many things that I have in my life that some other people don't. Like food, a roof over my head, the internet! I have been having a bit of a hard time because of my shyness and how much I am struggling to come out of it, and I was getting down the other day and trying to remind myself that I really do have so much in my life to be thankful for. SO thank you for reminding me to keep myself in check! I could be so much worse off than I am, and I am really thankful for what I do have. ^_^
