I'm a Scrooge.

I remember when I was a kid, Holidays were the best. Now, they just stress me out. I can't get to any store, everythings closed. Everyone is in a hury. My plane ticket had to be refunded because DIA was closed, so I didn't get to see my family. It was a hassel just trying to get the plane tickets in the first place. Everything is booked, plus I just don't have enough money and time to get everything together. When Christmas time comes around, it's like I have to put my whole life on hold. I usually wind up broke because all my money has to go to gifts, airfair, greyhound bus tickets, mailing packages, and more. On Christmas Eve at about eleven pm, I had to go to the doctor for a bacterial infection. They gave me two prescriptions for antibiotics, the kind that they use for staff infections, but could I find a pharmacy anywhere to fill these prescriptions? HECK NO!!! I had dive way accross town to find anything. And what is worse, is that we have three holidays in a row!!! One after the other, bam bam bam. It's too much. At least new years eve is more of a party celebration. My boyfriend has the flu so New Years is canceled for us too. This is also the time of year that everyone gets sick. And now I may be getting sick too. Another sad holiday alone. If it were any other day, I wouldn't feel this way. When the holidays are finally over, I will feel relieved. Life can get back to normal. Does anyone ever consider the fact that not everyone is Christian and not everyone celebrates Christmas? I'm sick of all the spending and consumerism that comes out of this event. Every store I went to just kept playing the same stupid sappy christmas songs one after another non stop untill I wanted to tear my hair out. They're just trying to get people to spend more money. How many different versions of "Jingle Bells" do we really need? I especially hate it when singers and pop stars have to come up with their own versions of Christmas songs and I have to listen to them while buying groceries. And it's usually the sappy singers like Celine Dion, or Brittany Spears. But what's worse than Cristmas remakes is Christian rock music. That is the worst music I have ever heard. It only sells because they're singing about Jesus. If they were singing about anything else no one would buy theire albums. All Christian rock is, is another way to make money, thus targeting Christians. They don't put much effirt into the making of the song because all they have to do is sing, "Praise The Lord, Oh Holy Lord", and there album is sold. I would say that yes, I probably am a scrooge.
