Pan Handlers Give or Ignore

How do you treat panhandlers, do you give them spare change or just walk on by. I encounter them almost daily at major intersections off the interstate and on city streets. what have you done when you see them?

You know what, I have a problem with the majority of panhandlers. Over the years I noticed that they show up in the evenings after all the day labors have come and gone, if you tell them that you have work for them, they have excusses as to why they can't do it. I have even seen a guy pickup his little sign and walk behind Dennys and get into a fairly new car. I saw a documentery a while back and it had a guy on there that said he can make panhandling then working 9 - 5.
