Why can't men (and boys!!!) ever leave the toilet seat down?

My husband used to leave the seat up ALL the time! I kept reminding him and nothing would seem to sink in. Then one day I told him that if he didn't start putting the seat down, his daughter (then jsut starting to use the potty) would fall in some day. He suddenly became quite aware and started puttin git down. I have also trained my Father-in-Law and Brother-in-Law to put it down. They would go in, use the bathroom, leave the seat up. I would then go in there, slam (literaly) the seat down and give a big sigh. They would still be within hearing distance and they now put the seat down! Sutle hints do sometimes work!

Why can't women leave the seat up so the boys don't pee on the seat and have the women complain about the pee on the seat..... Little reverse physcosis for ya.....lol "If you sprinkle when you tinkle, be a sweety and wipe the seaty"

i don't really understand why this is such a big issue. i don't expect my boyfriend to put it down the same why he doesn't expect me to lift it up for him. u need it down u put it. u need it up u lift it. it's simple. as for peeing on the seat that is gross and i don't tolerate that.

I think they are mentally incapable of this. We should start putting water on the seat before they go in and take a seat so they would know how it feels to sit on it and lift the seat when we get finished so thet would have to put it down.
