Use the large sea scallops. Wrap each one in 1/3 slice bacon and spear on skewers. Cook over barbeque grill or under the broiler. Take care not to overcook them. Use in chowder instead of clams.

How about Scallops Scampi? Saute some fresh garlic in butter, put in your scallops, cover with Italian flavored bread crumbs, and bake, covered, at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes or until it looks done. Uncover for the last 3 minutes to brown. Good luck. Let me know how you like this, please.

I am sorry, I do not have a recipe but I am anxious to here your comments. I love dhouston's idea. I like bacon wrapped foods prepared on a grill.

i make this seafood bowl out of a sour dough bread bowl. in a pan saute with a little oil julienne peppers, onions and mushrooms. when they get tender add scallops, prawns and baby shrimp, you can add crab to it too.. cook until prawns are pink and then add cream. make a roux (equal parts flour and butter. about 2 tbs each) and add a little roux at a time til sauce thickens. throw in some garlic, salt and pepper and heres the best part a little bit of worchestershire sauce for flavor. you will love this and it takes about 10 minutes.
