How long should a microwave oven last?

Ours just stopped heating yesterday. We use it a lot, but it's only 5 years.

i think five years is a long time to have anything electronic i think they make things now and days so that it will not last long just so you have to buy anyother one if everything you bought lasted forever no one would make any money

Mine does that off and on and I haven't even had it 5 years...I think they just make them cheaper now so they don't last as long...
