what is the best for gaming?

ok since all the ps3 and the new xbox and the Nintendo wii is all out what do you think is the best for gaming.i heard that the wii is pretty awesome and i love to bowl so i think i might get a wii just for wii sports but i am a hardcore pc gamer and the last console i bought was a playstation 1.
i love gaming on the pc and i cant even think of gaming on anything else but a pc but give me your thoughts on what you think is better and why. my favorite console of all time is the super Nintendo and my favorite console game is super metroid for snes.
i love gaming on the pc because you can download mods and updates and all that stuff without having to pay extra.
so what do you think is better?

I've heard nothing but good things about the Wii. Great games, great graphics, innovative gameplay... Nintendo is always willing to try something new, and gamers are ready for new. We want something different than the norm. The Wii offers that. Plus, the launch titles weren't all ports and sequels. I'd say get a Wii.

And I think part of that was people being a little too hard on their controllers. I plan on getting one when I have the money and they're available.
