I don't think so, since most accidents are caused by negligence and carelss driving,Is there any law in your country that u should not speak on the cellphone while driving, There is no law in my country.

I agree with you they are very unsafe I hope your country passes a law soon about them. I get so tired of someone cutting me off or almost swerving into me just to pull up next to me at a stoplight and there they are chatting away on the phone. GRRRR

No laws yet, but it looks like it'll be going that way pretty soon. Alot of people are doing it and that is driving risk.

It is totally unsafe to use the cell phone while driving. Let it be on a two wheeler or a four wheeler. Iam even fedup with ppl who use hands free while driving a two wheeler, bcoz they keep speaking on the road, but we don't know to whome they speak. In todays traffic a person has to concentrate only on the road else it is very very risk if ur attention is diverted. In India traffic rules are such that if the police find ppl using mobile phones while driving they are penalized on the spot, but still ppl contiue to using mobile phones. There are also lot of TV shows which educate ppl using mobile while driving, but these things cannot be controlled, we don't know how it is managed in other countries.

I think there should be a gadget fitted in every car that disables mobile phones in the car. All it takes is one or two seconds of a driver not being fully focused to miss something and cause a crash.

no it definetley isn't safe as majority of accidents are caused due to people speaking on their mobile phones whilst driving, i think this is why they invented bluetooth and hands free kits as they are such a good idea! :O)

There is no law here about it. I think whether or not it's safe depends on the person - I can do a million things at once so I'm safe while talking on the phone, evn when the car I'm driving is a stickshift.

Yes if you are using earphone. But when you are holding the cellphone and the other hand holding the wheels is a big NO! NO!. Maybe theres no law in your country but theres a phone etiquette not to use cellphone while driving.
