Should President George W Bush be allowed a third term as President?

We are at a time of war, and another president would not be able to conduct the war on terror as well as President George W Bush has. Because of that, shouldn't we keep Preisdent George W Bush as President beyond 2008 if the war is still going on at the time?

Unfortunately, the Constitution doesn't allow for that. And, before Republicans raise a stink about it (like they did when Reagan was president), they are the ones that wanted that Amendment in the first place (after FDR served 4 terms).

I will not comment on another country's leader but I always understood that under the American Constitution a person could only be President for 2 consecutive terms. If this is so, then no he cannot unless the Constitution is changed. I do not think it is such a great idea to change the Constitution on such flimsy grounds.

No, I think two terms are enough for any president. We need someone new that will maybe have better ideas. Kinda of like a breath of fresh air.

I dont think Bush is doing such a great job. I also dont think this war is about terrorist anymore , I think its more about the oil. I think he wants control on the country so he can have control of the oil.

No way ... no one else gets that chance either.. It would not be fair ... But I doubt he would win re-election anyway.

I wish we could! The term limit is there to protect us from the horrible Presidents like Clinton from being able to return to office. I don't look forward to our President changing at the next elections.

OMG no!!! He's made a big enough mess in 8 years. By the time his term was up we'd all be bankrupt and still nothing would have been accomplished. What a dumb idea!

What? Isn't it like no one can become a President more than 2 time4s in America? Whatever the case is, if he gets elected again, more people are going to die.

No, I support the rresident, but still, we have a constitutional amendment to prevent any president from being elected to more than two terms, and I agree with that.

Why should he, his term is over and he did nothing good with eight years in office, four more would make it even worse.

No No NO! I'm not American but the President of the US affects us all. The world needs some sanity for a change - the last thing we all need is more of this madness.

President George W Bush should be allowed a third term as President because he has taken some bold steps to remove terrorism from world

If George W Bush is doing such a great job fighting terrorism then I just have one question for you: Where is Osama Bin Ladin? After 9/11 he promised he would find him and he had the entire country and most of the world behind him on that. Then he suddenly took all of the focus off Afghanistan and attacked Iraq based on a bunch of lies, just to finish the job his Daddy should have finished when he had the chance. After 9/11 I had never seen our country so united and patriotic and now I have never seen our country so divided and the world hating us so much and the only one to blame for that is our president. So, yeah, let's give him another term in office and let him lead us into World War III. Sounds like a great idea.
