I live in Sumatra, Palembang city about 5 years...
nothing special for that town, maybe like the other city. well, Bali I like it much, I think it is not just beautiful island but mistic island too...keren banget booo.
"Tari Kecak", thats my fave ritual...

You are right about Bali. It is a mistic island. I've been here nearly one year, and it is a little bit scary at night. But i think Jawa island have more fully scary ghosts.

No Doubt more 300 difrent culture in there and more 17.000 island located in indonesia. so where do you live..? i has live in so many Major island From Papua,Maluku,Ambon,Java,Sumatra,and now i live in north sulawesi in Menado. but one major island where i never visiting that is Kalimantan or Borneo.

Hi Olga,
I used to have an Israeli friend when I was in college.
When you mentioned you are Israeli, I just all of the sudden remember her.
I also almost have been to Jerusalem. But I guess almost doesn't count as have been there.
I was only got up to the border of Israel.
I could see it, but I could not be there. So sad, eh.

sumatra's same like java, i like traveling in lampung if i have a long holidays.
it's very hot in there, more hot in the semarang city.
but the lampung city's more bigger then semarang

i hear that in sumatra, lot of wild animals on the street of sumatra. is that true? you may met by accident a Sumatra tiger(panthera tigris sumatrae), some snake or beasts .is that true?

I've been to Bali, Bali, Surabaya, Sumatra, Kalimantan (transit only), Sulawesi (Ujung Pandang, Pare- Pare, Palopo), Jayapura, etc.
But there is nothing compare to Jakarta, in my personal opinion.
You could find anything. Absolutely anything in Jakarta!

I think indonesia was great. This country is very beautiful, full of mountains, rivers, beach and many more. I am Indonesian, I have been to sumatra and Bali but i haven't gone to Kalimantan, Sulawesi or others. I think sumatra was a great island. This place was full of mountains. everywhere u go u will see mountains. But the scenery was very beautiful so u can enjoy it.
