Should dogs be bathed by using worm water.

Many people told me that dogs should not be bathed with warm water.As dogs have a oily layer on their fur thus it is not necessary for them to have bath.Also I was told that one must only brush the dog.
Please give your suggestions on this.I wash my pets with warm water and sope.Does this result in loss of hair of dogs.

I have never heard of not bathing a dog in warm water. We bath our dog outside with the garden hose, so the water is cold. I don't really know if it makes any difference. You can check with your vet just to be sure.
