Do you believe in the paranormal?

My daughters are hooked on the TV show TAPS, where a team of self described paranormal investigators visit places reputed to be haunted. I laugh at the hokeyness of the show, they never find anything. Oh they make a big deal about hearing a noise, which we at home can't hear, or seeing things, which somehow never gets caught on camera, or feeling a change in temperature or a presence in the room which we at home...yeah yeah you get it. Anyhow...why then do I have to sleep with the light on? Because I've had some real experiences with the paranormal. Ask me and I will tell you about them. Do you believe? Have you had any experiences?

Well I haven't heard of this show but it sounds like it might be interesting to see. I do believe in the paranormal. I've had my share of experiences with seeing or sensing something that isn't quite right by normal standards. I find it an interesting subject and love watching shows that deal with it. I really like when on the history channel they will visit places that are supposedly haunted and they tell the history of it, who the ghost might be, people's experiences with it, etc. That can be enjoyable and yeah afterwards I often have to keep a light on as well:)

No, I'm not a Scorpion. I've never heard about Scorpions being more perceptive than others. Will be interesting to research. Will let you know if I find anything. Would you care to share your experiences?

Yeah, I believe in the paranormal and actually had an experience of living in a "haunted" house a number of years back. I saw a full body apparition while living there (there were other people present who also saw the same thing). I am now a member of a paranormal investigation group which is just in it's early stages and we are in the process of securing permission to visit a large number of locations.

Wow! That is supposed to be like the Holy Grail of paranormal experiences. I've had several experiences of my own including faces, voices and premonition, but nothing like a full body apparition. I would love to hear more about your group and its activities.

I have to admit I have watched it a few times myself. The only one that I had seen that seemed to show anything at all is the one they did inside of a closed down prison. Everything else on there I have never seen as being real proof in fact the one episode where they did a castle that was suppose to have been haunted seemed pretty acted out to me one of the guys falls on the ground and says some force pushed him down.

There was a rerun the other night where they investigated a light house and there were some weird things going on. But overall, they haven't really proved anything to me.

Hi Dragonstar13,I am a new mylot member and while checking out different sites I discovered yours. I like the 'flavor' of what you created. You mentioned that some of your friends were less active and I guess that happens. Anyway I am intrigued by some of your topics and this one about the paranormal is a good one even though you posted it 6 months ago without a lot of response. I know from experience a lot of people do open up to these kinds of discussions. I definitely believe in the paranormal, metaphysics and all forms of energy-based thinking. I have been asking other members if they have seen movie What the Bleep...Down the Rabbit's Hole. It presents some really interesting views about ourselves in relation to energies within the Universe. Thanks to my relatives these concepts are not too hard for me to comprehend and accept because I grew up in a family from 'The Old Country' as they all affectionately called it. Britian, Wales, Scotland, Ireland...my genes have a mix of everything. Also my mom was clarivoyant and her Welsh father was the 7th son of the 7th son. Evidently those with that lineage are embubed with a more developed 'intuitive knowing.'He was also a member of the Order of the Rosicruicians where he continued to develop his consciousness. As a result of my upbriging I developed an understanding that everything is energy based...and therefore cannot die. It sounds like you have had some interesting experiences from those energy emenations...whatever they may be and I'd love to chat more about this more.

I've never heard of that movie, but I went to Netflix, found it and added it to my list. Looking forward to seeing it. It does seem people from the Old Country are more open to these experiences. Perhaps because they have such a long history and ancient buildings, the have encountered more than we.

Personally, I think if one believes in intuition, then one must have to accept the paranormal.

I do believe in paranormal. Even i do watch a lot of paranormal investigation videos and they do have some notable points in it. Sometimes there is no result and sometimes the result they get is really scary.
