According to the Theory of Evolution, humans did come from Apes...but I fail to believe this. This question still seems to be unrealistically answered because we as "humans" are told two different stories about our birth. If in religious terms, God created the first man...and that man was known as a human, then why has science taught us that we in truth came from apes? Are there humans of two generations? Confusing, if you ask me...but I am one from God, not monkey. Good topic!

I hate that this is so often taught as fact when it is just a Theory. I often wonder if it happened then why don't we see the half humans half apes running around as they evolve and what would they do for a birth certificate once they evolved all the way. These thoughts are just as ridicules as the theory is. as you can tell by my response i definately do not believe in that theory at all.

Well it is pretty complex. It would take alot of foundation knowledge to really explain the whole process. DNA contains the genetic information that controls are features (phenotype) it is believed by many people that we are a slave to our genes while i like to think that nurture has more of a roll. DNA forms gametes with the intention of fertilizing a gamete of the opposite gender. Then the original DNA information over time will perish, we die. DNA is like chinese whispers, the further the original message travels it gets distorted, changed. Mutations occur. Mostly unnoticable but every now and again some make a beneficial change to the species. Then things happen in the environment e.g. diasters, competition, predation which kill off the others that do not have the new required benefit. The process reoccurs and reoccurs over hundreds of thousands of years until the species that u have left is nothing compared to what you started with. A monkey is one of our closest ancestors, but infact we all came from a very basic unicellular organism millions of years ago. This is a Logical Theory, it may not be completely correct but its probably not too far off the truth. I hope this helps slightly. Thank You
