Can you sue a store/small super market for bad food?

Can you sue a store/ super market because they were sselling bad food. The food was like expired by 1-2 years. If some went there and got sick. Could that store possible be sued?

yes you can, most especially if the result is food poison. but if its only a time incident and theres no real harm done, like it was noticed before actually consuming the food then maybe you can just have an out of court settlement. or you can just report them to food authorities.
