Starting a forum. Help!!

I am going to graduate soon and hope to keep in touch with all my coursemate. Then, I am thinking to start a forum for my course but I know nothing of creating a forum. Can anyone can help me? Thank you. Is there any other better method to keep in touch other than forum?? I think starting a yahoo group is not good enough to stay connect with friend.

you donot need to know much in the beginning to run a forums site on a free web host . All the help is available online thru well prepared menus . you can start a free forums site on : www.invisionplus.net www.addyour.net www.forumup.com and there are many other free web hosts ...

Thank you very much. Quite sad to hear that but I still need to create one because it is requested by my course club.

Go for smf or phpbb these forums are free and quite nice i specialy like smf (simple machines forum)
