Re-Gifting... What are your thoughts?

For those who may not be familiar with the term... re-gifting is when someone gives you something as a gift that they received from someone else on a different occasion.
What do you think about that?
Have you received "re-gifted" items?
Do you re-gift?

I regift when there is absolutely no chance of the original gift giver finding out and the gift recipiant will love the item. I sometimes receive some very nice things that for whatever reason I have absolutely no use for or simply does not fit in with my decor. Other times it is an item I would prefer not to have in my home because it poses a safety to the children. (Like a game containing many marbles). As long as everyone ends up happy, I don't see why it would be a problem.
