I have always been interested in personal websites where people blog, have content for users etc etc. Graphic Design is one of my hobbies and I have always wanted to own my very own personal website I know what I would call it and I know what content would be on it. My problem is the website layout, I can do the graphics just fine it is the coding that I need to learn and I have been having trouble with. How did you learn to code websites how long did it take you etc. Any help would be appreciated I am sick of sitting around I have been reading as much as I can but the sites don't actually explain the coding process.

I actually learned HTML coding by looking at the source information of websites that I liked. However, these days I hardly use much HTML as my website is run on PHP. There are many open source Content Management Systems (CMS) that provide great resources for those interested in starting their own website. I would suggest and recommend Joomla! This is what I use on my site.
