Lottery do you play?

For the people in the united states does your state have a lottery? If so which ones does it have and do you play? Have you ever won anything from the lottey?
Our state has pick 4, the power ball and I can't remember what all else. We've played them before but haven't actually ever won anything. But I have a saying you can't win if you don't play.
Please no one word answers to this disucsson. I'll be reading and rating each response. I'll respond to them as I can but want to say thank you in advance for any responses.

I don't usually play the lotto unless it's for a large amount. And, even then, I forget to play. I think it's 48 numbers and you've to get six to win. But, if you get 3 or more numbers and the bonus number, then you can win prizes too. You can also play the lotto in the bookies and bet on just one number. Some people claim that this is a better way to play.
We also have various scratch cards. I like to play two or three of those, but again, I would only do this when I think of it, which isn't very often.

I live in West Virginia and yes we do have a lottery. I do not purchase lottery tickets as i believe it to be gambling. I do not believe in gambling. My Sister In Law won $500. on the lottery once though. she was so excited.

Yes, all the states have a lottery in the USA. I used to play, but never won. I don't bother anymore. And you are right, you cannot win if you don't play. But at my age, I don't bother anymore.
