What changed in Afghanistan after US and British troops coming? I don? see something special. The war between government and Talibs continues. The locals are growing opium poppy and then send it to the Europe. And peacekeeper forces can? stop it. Moreover they are trying to put the responsibility for it on the new Afghan government. US officials accuse Hamid Karzay of sabotaging fight against drugs traffic. As for me by this way Americans show their unwillingness to admit their own mistakes. And Rice showed her incompetence. To tell the truth both Americans and British are involved in this drug business in Afghanistan getting dividends from it and that? why nothing changes. I heard that Americans are going to separate Afghanistan into several states. But I think this plan pushes people to the new war for territories. By this way Americans will try to consolidate their grip on Central Asia, drugs and disorders will help them. But it will bring to more instability, IMHO.

what changed? thats easy , the taliban no longer run the country. Girls can go to school, men can smoke without having fingers cut off, it is unlikely any other archeologically important pre-islamic monuments will be blown up on their orders. In conclusion, there is one less obscene state on the face of the earth, not a bad start in my mind
