which is da strongest unit in age of empires ?

I think in aoe strongest unit is briton longbowman with full researches..LB can really make frustrating group of knights when created in mass.If u want 1 on 1 then elite cataphracts with logistica..

I like archers with full upgrade.. Age of empires...one of my favorite game... It is my favorite game among the real time strategy of games..i played Age of empires 2 first...Then i played Age of mythology.. I also played the latest age of empires...it is a wonderful experience over the game play... We are waiting for the new one...

the strong unit in aoe i think is the franc paladin

I think a combination of advanced lancers, and flanked by Heavy scorpions and Longrange bowmwn(advanced) is the best.Of course, they should be flanked and backed by priests to heal them.In this way, the lancers will take out the hand to hand combats, the archers and scorpions will take out targets at a distance, and the priests will restore health.This is a very great combination, and if there are some good numbers of them ,they can wipe out anything. For me the strongest units are the teutonic knights, but don't go to close to castles they die fast.

strongest unit in 1on1 combat is persian elite war elephant only... but if you see versatility, it must be paladin... strongest unit in groups in chu-ko-nus....

I mostly prefer to use priests. Though they can get easily get killed, if we work out a good plan and get a good number of priest we can defeat our enemy with there own forces which is really interesting to watch.

Paladins are one of the most powerful units in this game. They move faster and are a strong force to attack. I love Elite Elephants also as they are very strong against buildings, but they are very costly and are easily convertable.

I think Teutonic knight or the franks paladins or the elephant. Of course the elephant is the strongest but it depend on how you use them.

Yes the Teutonic Knights a re indded strong but they are too slow and hence lose more health than sholud be needed during fighting. Otherwise the Paladins are strongest overall in terms of speed and strenght and armour or the Longbowmen of Britons who can completely destroy an army within a minute.

Teutonic knights are the strongest on foot and Paladins are the strongest on horsies.... :) P.S : Any comments about a war elephant?
