Financial/Banking career suggestions requested

I got married and immigrated to the USA from India very recently. I have a 5+ yrs of work experience in Sales and marketing of financial services and team(sales) handling. Held functional designations like a Financial Advisor/Financial Planner/Relationship Manager/Sales Manager in India in the financial services and Banking industry. Worked in Foreign as well as Indian private sector banks ( at Manager level Band). Look forward to having a stable career and a profile that could match my expectations once i have my work permit in place.. My knowledge/experience of the US financial markets and in general is understandingly restricted.. Would a sales/marketing profile in a similar industry in the US be comfortable one for me?Request suggestions/career experiences to pour at this forum...that will help throw light and provide direction to a great extent
