Is it really worth taking vitamins and supplements or a waste of money?

I´ve been taking one tablet of a mixture of vitamins every day for over 9 months now, but noticed no difference. I don´t feel more energetic, nor less tired.
Does it work for you and in which way?

its still worth takeing some vitamins even though you dont notice the difference now some will help in oldage
vitamin c is good to take the human body dosent produce that much so takeing some extra will cut down the the risk and recovery time for colds
cod liver oil will help with joints in oldage
they will be helping serten things that you dont notice
but as said above a good diet of friut and veg will do a better job

The vitamins a person usually buy are minimum requirements...meaning that they are not specific to your needs. Another problem with buying vitamins is that they are often synthetic rather than natural vitamins such as those found in fruits and vegetables.
Here is a list of vitamins (Short list) and what they can do for you in the proper amounts.
Vitamin E helps keep your hair and nails strong, can help improve your skin tone.
Vitamin B6 helps your body absorb other vitamins while at the same time helps your body excrete toxins.
Vitmain B12 is natures energizer.
It is also important to have enough minerals in your diet or supplements.
Amino acids are the building blocks, they combine to make other amino acids and they can help or prohibit vitamins from being absorbed.
If you intend to supplement your diet with vitamins and amino acids, I suggest you find a list and what each does for the body, then list what you feel you need or expect from the supplements you chose.

I've tried on more then one occassion to take vitamins as well, in hopes I will see some sort of change in my energy level, skin or hair. I never feel any different, and certainly don't see any changes, other then I tend to gain more weight. I've asked other people about this, and they all tend to agree with me, however whenever this question is brought up online, I see tons of responses saying how wonderful vitamins have been for some people. Maybe they all work for a suppliment company? LOL
