Anybody else on myLot sick and tired of Reality TV. From Donald Trump's Apprentice to Survivor to Fear Factor to Dog the Bounty Hunter, are you tired of reality TV? As a writer and someone who lived in LA for six years, I detest reality TV. It takes jobs from writers. Some of the shows have been good. Who Wants to be a SuperHero was an example. It was different. Who cares about Donald Trump and his bad hair? How many rats can you eat on Survivor?

I'm guilty of liking some of them, how can you not get into some of them... Rob and Big is hilarious! Anyways I do agree that they went a bit overboard, but I've been hearing that a lot of these "reality" shows are being more scripted... So, I guess there is something for the writers to do!

Hmmm, interesting, so do they do something that is real, then the producer or whoever comes in and says "say it this way instead?"

I was sick of it by the second season of the Real World, lol. To be fair, some of them have been interesting and are quality program, the Amazing Race, for example, but ones like Temptation Island? I don't see how they add anything to television, pop culture, or society in general. I think the appeal of the lower-end ones is to make people feel better about their own lives.

I LOVE them. Well not all of them, but I live to see Big Brother and Survivor. I am not so keen on Dog the bounty hunter, donald trump, or fear factor. I think too many were introduced at one time. It should be narrowed down to just the ones that are watched the most.

Even I am tired of these reality shows.Some are good but some are very boring.Now the trend is that the same reality shows are starting in all the countries only with different names.This really freaks me.
