Hello, I used to love Misfits. I went to their concert when they played here (Peru). They weren´t the legit band members, but at least the siger came :p. I was a great show. Now, I´ve listened to some Danzig and ill have to say it´s a lot better. I love their style and Glen´s voice. You should consider buying some Cd´s. :)

I've listened to all of Danzig's stuff from Misfits, Samhain and Danzig and love it all...each album is just another progression in his life. Each album stands out on it's own as many sound like different bands if it wasn't for Glenn's voice holding it all together.

I would have to say Glen is better with Danzig, but make sure you pick up Danzig I(the self titled) first. because after that things begin to change with in the band. now he changes the band after almost every album.

I like both, though not really Samhain, or the last couple Misfits albums (in general, lots of good songs, just the sound was too- overdone). The first 3 Danzig albums are awesome, I was too young to see the Misfits live, but have seen Danzig twice, and both shows rocked. Some of his more recent stuff (you'll hear what I mean if you start browsing his recent catalog) has been more "experimental" or ethereal if you get my drift. The band he had assembled the first 3-4 albums (Danzig, Chuck Biscuits- drums, Eerie Von-bass *also bass in Samhain, and John Christ- guitar) was truly a supergroup. The first album "Danzig" is a classic, you have to get, it's a little slower than the Misfits and not as "punky" sounding, kinda like Motorhead on downers with a dark bent to it. Cheers and best of luck.
