159 A German Shepherd question for owners only

As I lived in a very remote area and my house had been burgled I decided to get a big dog which might scare off any prospective burglars. Of all the dogs I had, my german shepherd was the most loveable. When my grandchildren, the german shepherd would sit beside the pram and would allow anybody inside our front gate. When they started walking, she would follow them averywhere and if she was outside on her own, she would cry until the children came out to play with her. Good as she was, I would never trust her 100% so I always made sure I was with the children while the dog was around.
