diffrence between ipod and mp4

im just curious between the ipod and mp4? can you give me the diffrence between the two gadgets?

All I know about this two gadgets is Ipod is more expensive than MP4's. Both plays songs but then Ipod has more and bigger memory capacity than MP4. Also Ipod is more well known than MP4. Just correct me if I am wrong, lol.

So what is the difference? I also don't know the answer for this. This is a good question to raise in mylot but no one seem to see it. Maybe most of them don't know too? or maybe they have not seen this topic?
