Do chiropracters do more than they should?

I have heard of people going to chiropracters for ear infections and respiratory problems. This really concerns me. I know spinal manipulation can help a number of muscle aches and pain,- but cure ear infections???
I understand that many chiropracters are negative about medical doctors, but have others experienced chiropracters treating what most consider physiologic or "medical" ailments?

I have never been to a chiropracter myself, I didn't know people were going to them for these reasons, I don't know anyone who can really afford to go to one, I would think twice as I thnk they would hurt so hopefull I won't need to ever go.
