I have done a thesis on this because it is an interesting topic to me... with the increasing technology, we have so many options to choose from... ranging from cell phones to the internet to satellite and radio... do you think that all of this technology will one day replace face to face interpersonal communication? And why or why not? Also, what do you think the impact will be?

I would say it may be possible in the near future and you do not have to be actually present to meet someone... it has happen to some extent now a days but.. it will also be possible to send someone instead of the email in near future...

what do you mean by 'send someone'??? Do you mean that the person himself or herself will be physically transported through technology?

you seem to be quite knowledgable on this topic! is there anything more that technology is capable of doing in the near future? and what do you think the impact of such things is going to be? are you for or against this kind of technological development?

I will say it has already replaced it. But the problem is rather than making us closer this has created distances between people. Now people are more alone and have their own world i.e the computer and internet.

No way, the technology can replace face to face communication. The advantages of face to face communication cannot be overpowered by any technology.

If I'm going to talk to someone about something important, I'm DEFINITELY going to talk to them face to face. I enjoy technology, though. It makes it easier to keep in contact with people and keep track of them.
