Have anyone here have had a relationship via internet? have it sur you ever met in person? have is survived that inital encounter? Was she/he all you expected her to be?

yes, i met my fiance on myspace. Of course i met him in a public place first. Yes his picture and everytying he told me was true. i love him with everything

I met the man of my dreams on of all places myspace.I am in the process of an divorce which I had started the preceedings before I met the man on myspace but, we are still keeping it quiet.I feel that he is my soul mate we just clecked we talk on the phone 2 or 3 times a day and see each other 3 or 4 days a week.It always has been when we do this not if this happpens.we can talk about anything and everything.So yes I believe in internet romances sometimes they work for the best sometimes they dont you just have to be careful.It also help to have a relative in law enforcement that can run a back ground check to make sure what they are say is true. which my man knows I did. His brother is a cop and they did the same thing.As long as you protect yourself you should be ok.

I met someone off the Internet. We talked on the phone and decided to met. We did finally met, but stopped talking to each other. He tried to rush me into a serious relationship after only seeing me once. He knew I had a boyfriend but he wanted me to leave my boyfriend for someone I only knew from the Internet.

I met one person from the internet. I met him in a public place (the mall). It was an okay date. We actualy went out twice. He was a nice person but he was more intresting on the computer then in person.

This is funny to me..
I met my daughter's father online actually. We lived in the same town and we met in real life really quickly after we started chatting but I actually met him online and then talked to him on the phone before I finally met up with him. We dated for a year and a half before I had our daughter. We are not together anymore but we are really good friends still and of course he helps me take care of our daughter who is now 5!!

Yep i met some people online before, the girl im with now i have met online. its pretty cool, just got to work somethings out. but on the other note i have met some luncatics online as well, very creepy

Yes, were friends by 3 months now.We exchanged messages since november.I didnt met him personal but he sends picture,greeting cards and always responded on my concern. He expected me to be true but Idont expected many things from him.

yeah, i had one/two before. but it never really last..it's just like a long distance relationship..you really have to see the person in order for you to make it last for so long. falling in love through the internet is not the right thing to say or describe it, it's just that you both are really doing great communicating..it's just like that,i guess..

I've actually had 2 (one i'm in right now). I don't see a problem with them. I've met them both in person. They wound up being good people. The first one I don't talk to anymore but me and the 2nd one are very happy.

I met someone on the Internet. We began talking and one day decided to meet. When we met we decided to get into a relationship. After a few months I found that she had a husband. I broke it off with her. I don't know if I'd try to meet someone on the Internet again.

I met my boyfriend on myspace.com! It was the first time I ever went out on a limb and decided to meet someone online. I'm very happy that I did because we've been together for 8 months now. Our first time meeting was awesome because we had already known a lot about each other so we were able to have some good conversations and no akwardness.

After me and my son's father broke up i had this fellow send me a message on Myspace, we started talking and i kept refusing to give him my phone number. I told him he or i could be a psycho lol.. but i ended up caving in. I'm glad i did, he lived 1360 miles away from me and within a month he was flying to see me. :) We hit it off amazing and i ended up going down to his place for a couple months. We moved back here together and we've been together almost a year now..

I have had 3 relationships from the Internet since becoming an AOL member in 1993. One resulted in a 6 year marriage. Even though we got divorced, it's not because of the net or how we met (sorry for the rhyming lol). It was because of other issues, however to this day we remain friends. I can't say that any of the 3 were disasters, I'm still in the middle of one right now, that is so far 8 months old.
