Shld u or shld u not give money to beggars?

I am always in a delimma wen a beggar comes upto me. I am always in 2 minds. Am I encouraging begging? Or should I be generous to help him. In either case I carry a guilt with me. At times the dicission is easy wen the beggar is badly handicapped.

I see that if the beggar is in a position to earn and still begging then i dont give. I give sometimes to children and old people.

I think, we should never give anything to begger. The reason is that in this way we are encouraging them to continue begging and also discourages people who work hard for few cents

Giving Few Penny's to helpless and deserved ones will not harm our guilt. Do not encourage everyone. Give only to the disabled. They deserve it.

For me, i always give it if its old people... but, for others I make it a point not to give... I belive that the old people would have gone through the meseries of the world and as a last resort they r pushed into this...
