I have recently been to see the naturopath about various things and this was something she actually suggested, except without the honey. Just warm water and a quater of a lemon (i just use 99.9% lemon juice from a bottle). This was actually prescribed to me to make my bowels move more frequently (sorry for being so personal LOL). So I guess, if everything is moving properly, your metablolism will speed up and you will start to lose some weight, as long as you remain active.

drink your water! - drinking plenty of water is so good for you on so many levels. It's hard for me to do it without forcing a thirst on myself by drinking plain cold water even when I don't want it
The best things to do without spending a lot of money are drink plenty of water and walk regularly. I have a hard time making myself drink water. I have to make myself drink it even when I don't want it and then I will develop a natural thirst for water again. The water is so much better for you than sodas or other flavored drinks, although I do still indulge in them because I get tired of the water. And walking is the easiest exercise of all to do, all you need is shoes and a place to go. Overall increasing your activity level is best. I have been so bad about both of these things for so long. I have started off the new year with plenty of water and regular exercise. It's only January 3, but I am determined to follow through instead of crashing and burning. Good luck to you!

yes well i would also like to add that it will be much better and you will like to drink more water if it is ice cold. as it is very nice to drink ice cold water it also takes more calories for your body to convert that ice cold water to the temperature of you body. really if you want to know more about it please check out this site.. http://www.bodybuildingforyou.com/bodybuilding-supplements-guides/fat-loss-tips-2.htm. this site really explains how drinking water makes you lose fat and the works!. i hope you do well!.

Hey chickadee, don't fret about a few pounds. If you want to change your eating habits, watch your portions, fat and carbs. Eat more often. Try eating snacks in between your meals, but eat fruits and vegetables. Walk. Walking is great exercise. If you don't want to walk, use a DVD or video that gives you a good aerobic workout. I have used walk aerobics with Leslie Sansone. She gets your heart pumping. Good luck!

I would just eat healthy, eat 500 calories less than you do, don't eat junk food, only healthy food, and excersize and do cardio to burn more calories than you have eaten that day. But you have to eat, otherwise you will burn your musce doing the excercises. Swimming is a good cardio, and healthyf or you, and running is to. Run a mile at first everyday, then move up to 2, and etc... Probably about every month, move up. You can always get those premade healthy meals that come with breakfeast lunch, and dinner. Oh and always eat breakfeast, i've heard that not eating it will put on more pounds. Just do what I said, or a mixture of what soem other people ahve said and you will be set!!!

Hello there MissGia, so how's your updates on your weight loss? Has it been successful..? As for myself, I don't think you can follow this tip right here. I ride a big bike, but during my spare time, I also get involved in dirt-biking activities too and went for outdoor rides and all that. That way, I managed to keep trim. Another best method would be to drink lots of plain water, eat variations around 5 meals a day, but to keep it minimal and then go for jogging around 2-3 times per week. Trust me, you'll see your weight loss in no time. But I would love to add a bit more weight so that I can 'pump' up my body, ha!!

I have found that the only thing that works for me is counting calories. Sometimes I do have a day when I just eat fruit and veg and that can help me to lose a few extra pounds but is obviously not that healthy! I find that reducing carbs and replacing them with vegetables in my meals has helped cut down the calories. I also woudl recommend exercising.

I am trying to lose 50 pounds as well. I lost two and a half last week. I refuse to diet though. Instead, I am changing eating habits. I am only changing habits that I know I can keep up with for the rest of my life and it wont' just be a fad I go through. The first step I took was to start eating breakfast every morning. This helps with metabolism. The next thing was to slowly increase my water intake until I was up to 64 ounces per day. By doing this you will also lose water weight, your body will feel better as well. Then I decided my goal was to get 5 fruits and/or vegetables every day. I have stopped buying junk food, but if I want a treat now and then I allow it. I have been trying to pay close attention to portions and make sure that I am not over eating. I get plenty of food, I don't feel hungry, but I don't let myself eat until I feel extremely full. If I didn't get enough to eat I snack on fruit in between meals.

I have a friend who has gotten into amazing shape following Leslie Samsone's Walk Away the Pounds DVDs. You do the workouts in your living room and you can even get several of her DVDs from Netflix. And water really is one of the most important things you can do. There are sites online where you can calculate your ideal water intake for your weight, and following that the the letter will make a huge difference in your appetite. Make breakfast the biggest meal of the day to kick start your metabolism through the day, and start lunch and dinner with a salad full of fresh vegetables. When you're craving junk, make yourself have a glass of water and a piece of fruit before you have the chocolate cake or oreos; you'll definitely eat a lot less of them than if you'd dived right in.

You should change your eating habits, be more active around the house. Maybe turn on some music and just dance like there is no tomorrow. You can even try a soup diet where you eat nothing but soup! Good Luck with this!!

the best and still recommended activity is jogging. jogging in place will do if you don't want to jog outside. aside from losing a few pounds, it can also increase your stamina and your endurance too. that's my recommendation, good luck if you will reconsider it.

Hmm weight loss tips. If only there was a weight loss quick magic bullet. On a recent 3 week trip to Italy I actually lost 15 lbs, how and why? Walking 8 hours a day sightseeing, eating 3 meals a day , at lunch it seems in Rome they only give you HALF sandwich and that was all I ate, drank tons of water and lost weight. I never snacked while there except for Gelato. Morale of story and tips? WALK a lot at least 8 hours a day, eat 3 small meals a day, drink pleanty of water voila, weight loss.
