I very much believe in standing up for my convictions, but at the same time if someone can demonstrate that I am wrong, and offer me proof and examples to substatiate it, then I am also happy to be corrected. At the end of the day we learn by making mistakes, and having our beliefs challenged is a vital part of that.

When i feel strongly about anything and when in debet i strongly back up the truth with the facts and figures.

Yep, sure do. I'll defend my point till I'm exausted. Yes, with facts, knowledge, credible opinions, etc.

That is one thing I love about the internet. You have the largest repository of knowledge at your fingertips, you can prove or disprove your point at the stroke of a few keys. Even if you find out that you are wrong you can also find the information or site that gave you the wrong idea, or there is a reference in the literature regarding the previous accepted theory or accepted "fact".

There are things that I'm too passionate about to just back down. If I have facts and knowledge about it, I will state it. But if proven wrong, I will humbly submit to my mistakes. We can't be forever right. Also, if I'm talking to somebody who is getting hysterical about a discussion and thus, we're leading nowhere, I would generally surrender. I can stand a discussion but not a heated argument where sometimes, the facts are misplaced.

Yes. I'm not noisy or opinionated about it. I'll defend others too if I believe them to be right.

When I feel strongly about something I NEVER back down...come to think of it I dont back down even if I dont feel strongly about something LOL I'm just too stubborn to be honest with you :-D....and yes I defend things I'm passionate about to others and I back it up with fact or personal experience or why I have that opinion and sometimes with a combo of those things..depends on the topic
