When your lips get dry you tend to lick them to wet them, then it makes the situation worse. You might try lip balm right before you go to bet at night so it won't wear off as fast as during the day.

Its important to drink enough water, this helps your body regulate its own dry areas, then I use a balm I make using almond oil and beeswax. Sometimes I add a little honey to that but mostly I make it plain and use it sparingly. It worksa treat and is very cheap and easy to make.

I use Blistex, because it is medicated. It doens't taste too bad, and it really does heal chapped, dry lips. I've used it for years. Don't use Carmex though, it can be addictive for people with dry lips.

I have tried all kinds of balm and none of them ever worked for me. I used the vaseline too, but the taste is awful, so now I am using olive oil. It does the job but I have to use it frequently during the day. It also adds a nice sheen to my lips.
