digital settings for canon 30D in aerial photography

I have recently started shooting aerial photography with a canon 30D and 100-400IS l lens Does any one know how best to set my in camera settings, e.g Daylight, shade, or auto, and also sharpening e.t.c I am shooting residential homes from 1000 feet, which is why I bought the 30D fro it's 1x6 conversion. I would certainly apreciate any advice,(by those who genuinely know).
