While I will admit that I keep a spreadsheet on what I have read by title and author so that I do not mistakenly read it again...some titles can be the same or very close...I don't keep track by date. That is very interesting though. It helps you to know how much your read in a year. And I thought I was doing good by keeping record of everything I read. LOL I can say I also keep another spreadsheet of books that I want to read also. Let's see if I can remember off the top of my head books that I have read this year. They will probably be the books that I read near the end of the year though. Dark Prince - Christine Feehan Dark Desire - Christine Feehan Dark Gold - Christine Feehan Dark Magic - Christine Feehan Dark Challenge - Christine Feehan Sun Witch - Linda Winstead Jones Moon Witch - Linda Winstead Jones Star Witch - Linda Winstead Jones Speak - Laurie Halse-Anderson Ghost Sitter - Don't remember, it was a book my daughter wanted me to read Wildy Winston - Lori Foster Key of Light - Nora Roberts Key of Knowledge - Nora Roberts Key of Valor - Nora Roberts Eternity - Maggie Shayne Infitiy - Maggie Shayne Destiny - Maggie Shayne Immoratality - Maggie Shayne Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (I wanted to read it before seeing the movie) Irish Magic II - Anthology Words of the Witch - anthology collection of 11 or 12 stories Santa's Twin - Dean Knootz The Ghost and Katie Coyle - Ann Kelleher Moonglow - Anthology Hot Blooded - Anthology Like I said, I know I read a lot more...but that is what I can remember off the top of my head. :) And my recommends are the Dark Series and Widly Winston. But my favorite is also the series that starts with Eternity by Maggie Shayne. I love Maggie Shayne!!!

Sorry about the other response in the other 2006 book topic. I didn't realize there were two different discussions. :( Please feel to look them up and read! And if you have any good books that you read and recommend, please feel free to message me on it and what you thought of the book. I am open for suggestions as I do read a lot and enjoy reading. Of course, I haven't gotten as much reading done since joining myLot. I am still trying to find a balance. :)

I just started doing that for my livejournal a few years ago and then just kept it up and then keep my list so I can scrapbook it, when I pick scrapbooking back up anyway lol I bet I would like a lot of those books, I just have never heard of most of them.

Impressive! The only books I read on your list were the Dean Koontz books. I am part of a reading group with a goal of 50+ books a year... http://groups.yahoo.com/group/50booksin2006/ We are keeping the name but continuing in 2007 if you'd like to join. We just keep track of what we have read, discuss books, make recommendations and cheer each other on.

Since it appears that you like books by Dean Koontz and John Saul, I'd like to recommend that you read Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, unless of course you already have. Although I liked some of their solo books, it's the ones they write as a team that are fantastic. Start with "Reliquary" and "The Relic", and see what you think.

Hi! Here are some books I read in 2006: Shadow of the Dolls (I forgot the author's name) - sequel to Valley of the Dolls, a great guilty pleasure and you can find out what happens to all the characters. :-) Then He Ate my Boy Entrancers by Louise Rennison - a nice journey back to the days of awkward girlishness and discovering boys Tony and Me by Jack Klugman - Excellent! Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella - what fun! Excellent! I also started some others that I didn't have time to finish. I'm currently reading the Devil Wears Prada. I suspect the ending is a bit different from that of the movie, so I can't wait to find out! :-)

Hey! Are you reading over my shoulder?! Or am I reading over yours?!! I see by your list that you are like me when it comes to sticking with authors whose work you like. And you like a lot of the same authors. There are a few listed that I haven't read...I will definately have to check them out! I just finished Life Expectancy last night. I love Koontz! And I read Black Creek Crossing by John Saul about a week or two ago. I agree, it is to be recommended. Right now I'm ready to start The Manhatten Hunt Club by John Saul. The April Shadows/Girl in the Shadows story was ok, but not really one of my favorites of VC Andrews. I really did prefer her work over the ghost writers'. Have you ever tried Jean M Auel or Jackie Collins?

Thank you for sharing your reading list from last year. I also love to read. I am currently reading the Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher. I'm on book four and am enjoying it very much. There are several titles on your list that I have read and also enjoyed---I'm also adding several to my 'to read' list. Thanks again!

Okay, Beneath a Marble Sky is one of my ultimate most favorite reads of all time. It was a book I did a review for (my work) and I truly loved it. I actually loved it so much that while I wanted sooo bad to keep it for myself I ended up sharing it because I couldn't keep it to myself!!!!!! lol I really didn't like A Girl Named Zippy at all. It was such a disappointment to me. I got my first taste of the Shopaholic series this past year also (2006) as one of the reads I did for myself not for my job. I did enjoy it although I think they're much like the Evonavich series, they quickly become mundane and the same thing over. I used to be a huge V.C. Andrews fan but just haven't been able to get into her books of late. I really did notice the change when her kids took over her writing years ago and it seems to be basically the same book written over in various ways with different names. Since you recommend it I might try again. Life Expectancy was actually the first Koontz book I ever read and what got me hooked from there on. I have a huge amount to read still and love to pick up his books here and there. I'm a big Stephen King fan and everyone told me Koontz would be something I'd enjoy. I'm glad I finally did it! I've also read Forever Odd and the other bookin that series which escapes my mind right now also. Loved both. I'm reading The Memory Keeper's Daughter and it is awesome. I'm almost finished with it. It's a read for myself and not work. I do that once in a while! lol

Wow so many of the same interest in books hehe I got Beneath the Marble Sky free from bzz agent. We had preview of them and that was the one I liked the most and end up getting it in the mail after the preview time was over. I was super excited!! I love the Shopaholic series sooo much lol V.C. Andrews isn't the same as they used to be since the ghost writer took over, but for some reason I still have a deep love for them. I have ever single book of hers and keep every single one in a special box. Koontz is so great!! I like him much more then Stephen King.

Wow, that is such a lengthy and in-depth list of novels. Congratulations for being able to read so many books. I don't think I could have the time to read so many. Well, what is your goal of books to read for 2007?
• United States

i don't set myself a goal of books to read, cause then I just don't seem to enjoy them much. So I am tickled if I read more books the next year then I had the previous year.

My goodness, you sure do like to read. I'll admit I'm not much of a book reader. I was one in my younger days when I read all the Nancy Drew Mysteries and all those kinds of books.. I can't even remember the last book I read. If I decide I want to read a book, I'll be sure to pick one from your list. Thanks.
