Okay I just went out tonight and guess what I saw? People with their Christmas lights still up! What's up with that?

Our tree is still lit & will not come down until Jan. 6th which is 3 kings. It is a tradition that my husbands family follows.

That is exactly what Iwas going to say. I think in some places Kings Day isn't very celebrated so people aren't very aware of the tradition. My parents don't take their lights or tree down until after Kings Day when we have our King Cake.

It's only January 3rd. This time of the year is very busy for alot of people! If I decide to put lights up I will leave them up as long as I please...I did the work, I own the house....why should anyone else care?

No idea about Christmas lights, why is it up? Anybody please tell. I'm interested to know different customs and rituals, that's why..

okay it's JAN. 10TH..lights are still up at some houses. I think they will probably leave them up till next year.
