How utorrent works ? (need help)

Hi all, plz tell me how to download from utorrent, I have downloaded a torrent file from internet (about 33 MB software) the .torrent file i have downloaded (11.5 K) but when I try to download, it just shows that it is downloading, it never actually downloads I have read the help but there is nothing as a solution for my problem, plz tell me how to download or tell me which web site's .torrent files can be really downloaded by utorrent

well i also downloaded the software from some software website and than i downloaded the torrent thing which was like for 11kb or something and than placed it in the bar , but the utorrent started searching and it showed a download bar same as the one shown in limewire and some other softwares like that but , it was downloading and it was like head banging , i think it requires some proxy settings !!! or may be you are behind a windows or internet firewall..
