Seems like too good to be true isn't it? Try to see if they are accredited by the Federal Trade Commission or any governement agency involved in accrediting such lottery sites. Chances are, this would be a scam. They'd lure you with that amount and then they will ask you for a processing fee. if you give in to that they would again ask you for another amount for something and the process goes on. I once joined an online lottery just for the fun of it knowing it would be free (heck nothings free on lottery) all I needed was my email(foolish of me). Then I get this mails telling me that I've won all I need is to pay for the ticket. i didn't pay but rather everytime I get the email that I won I mark it as a spam. Eventually they're going to stop or would they? Their email address keeps changing. Be careful in dealing with this. Just mark it as spam!

iv received over 4 such alerts. Its absolute fraud. Think how can you even win a contest that you never have taken part in.And if it comes through diplomatic luggage or if they ask you to pay some amount as tax and handling charges, THERE IS NOTHING TO DOUBT. It is 100% fake.No lttery will ever ask you to pay for the prize you won from them.

Either congratulations, or it's some sort of scam. Check the organization with whoever handles consumer affairs or lotteries in the UK. I notice that the agent is in South Africa, which is no great encouragement. There should be a formal claim process, and all genuine lotteries and sweepstakes are required to follow licensing regulations in their home jurisdiction. The pity of it is that a lot of the scams and spam generated by fake lotteries do look genuine. (Although it's hard to see what they'd gain from that.) Good luck, if you need it.
