Are video games ruining your family life?

My husband wont do anything, but play video games once he's home from work. My grandkids' grades are down because thats all they do in their rooms instead of homework. Children are murdering children in schools, playing themselves from some online game they either bought and played or created and lost reality. What's next?

I would limit the game time if I was you, you need to set limits. We have 4 video game systems in our home and three children, I also have 8 televisions. I set limits on the times my kids can play, they have to do chores to earn play money for game time. Homework must be done first. Many times they only get the weekends and school breaks to play. You should talk with your husband and limit him to 30min- hour a day, he should help you around the house. Your grandkids need to do their homework before games, someone needs to step in and be sure of that. Good luck

We have two ps2s, 2game boys, and over 200 games for one system and over 100 for the gameboys. The kids are into them, and my husband, but it does not ruin their lives. My daughter is a A student, plays sports, is athletic, and very social. My son, is a very well student. He is only 4 and goes to preschool so they don't really get graded, but he does excellent. And my husband puts in 16-18hour days. so when they get the time they all deserve to sit down and play at their own systems. I don't fret about it.

True, video games are becoming an addiction. We need to keep a watch on it.
