Have you been to a former President's funeral, or any of the processions?

Have you been to a former President's funeral, or been to the capital building to see the casket lay in repose? (Or been on the route of the funeral procession?) If you're paying attention to my last few questions, you'll figure out why I'm asking this.. Former President Gerald Ford was laid to rest yesterday in his home town of Grand Rapids, Michigan, on the grounds of his presidential library. Being that I'm maybe 4 hours away from there, and this is history in the making, I wanted to be there (unfortunately, it was not to be). I do hope to make a trek to his presidential library, because I don't believe I have ever been to one before, and I think it would be neat to go. My grandmother actually has a book from JFK's memorial service, but I have no idea who in her family went to the service. I have not been to any of the services, or stood along the route to any funeral processions for any of the more recently deceased ex presidents.. have you? Do you feel like you were a part of history in the making?
