Is it true Zoloft makes people gain weight?

Is it true the prescription drug, Zoloft, causes weight gain? I'm just curious, cuz I'm starting Zoloft. I want to make sure this is a true statement, cuz I have not gained weight from various birth controls, quitting smoking and pregnancies which all claim weight gain. If anything, I've gotten smaller in the years, even smaller than I was in High School. I hear it slows down the metabolism, but isn't that controlable through daily vigorous exercise and a 1200 calorie diet (based on my size sorry, 120lbs 5'5")? That's what people use to loose weight, right? Just curious? Let me know your expertise!

I did gain weight--- I went from size a size 5 to a size 12 in one year!! I also was not moving much because I was in pain, but I did gain a lot of weight, which in return made me depressed about that. I took Zoloft for depression and PTSD.
