i love salad too but don't have idea on how to prepare thai dressing. i love to prepare the mandarin oriental salad with vinegraitte ( ready made only ). strip roasted chicken meat , lettuce ( of your choice ) , raisins , mandarin orange , tomatoes , lettuce , mix little orange juice ;honey;pepper & salt ; olive oil - toss to the salad mixture then use fried crispy rice noodle as toppings. Serve with vinegraitte!

I have never used rasins before. I am really curious on how to make the dressing, the thai dressing like they serve at applebees. I like the ingredients, I knew I was missing a few thanks for the help.

The main ingredients in a thai dressing are fish sauce (nam pla) and lemon or lime juice. Sometimes they also add palm sugar for a hint of sweetness. If you dont have that then you can add normal white sugar or even icing sugar as it dissolves quickly. This fish sauce and lemon dressing can be added to anything. For example chicken, or any BBQ meat cut into thin slices, lettuce, cucumber, red onions, spring onions, tomatoes, peanuts, cabbage and so on. Thai salad can be as colourful as you like. I hope this helps or ask for more.
