My dog likes to chew on bones a lot. I don't mind it since she likes it, it keeps her occupied, and its supposed to help her clean her teeth. But I am worried that she might chew too many bones and wear her teeth down. And I am not sure which bones are actually good for her and which ones aren't. Anybody has some knowledge about this?

Bones will not wear her teeth down but make sure she only gets hard beef bones, knuckles or a soup bones with the marrow are very good. Never chicken or any bones that can splinter even steak bones can splinter and that could have serious consequences.

I believe it's ok as long as you don't give her chicken bones. Those can get lodged in her throat easily and cause choking. Though I think it be possible to limit it down to once a week with the bones and for the other times give her a rawhide bone to chew on. Rawhide has the same ability of cleaning their teeth without wearing them down.
