credit cards

i received a $25 Visa cash card from Cingular i believe...i used it to put in a half tank of gas...on the back it stated that i could reload it with cash, but i thought that was pointless...plus the worker at the gas station looked at it crazy because there was no name on the front of the card... so i just threw it out after i used up the $25... not sure if we're talking about the same thing or not...

They are good, because then nobody can steal your money by making unauthorized payments from your card. It is a good way to establish some credit, and I'm sure that it helps a little bit too.
