What is your strategy for reading ? does it depend on the kind of material u read?Or the subject it relates to??

I often read technical things, so my technique is this one: first thing to do is to *fully* understand what are you reading. So the first time I read something I need and I try to understand all I am reading. The second time I do the same. The third time I go deeper in understing things and I begin to store in my mind :), and then I end repeating and memorizing and checking

I just read. I don't need a strategy.

All that matters to me is that I'm in a comfortable place when I read.

Whenever I am "into" a book, I don't have to worry about staying focused. However, textbooks are another subject. I have found that I retain what I am reading if I read in short periods. Such as, I'll read for a half hour take a 10 minute break and then pick up for another half hour. That way I don't get bored, but I also do not get distracted either.
