poc2 --how is barbossa still alive?

I love Pirates of the Carribean. THe problem with barbossa is simple: it's a movie. characters can be easily killed and the broguht back to life. he might as well have come back from the other world, it doesn't really matter to the audience as long as he helps in saving Jack. at least that's how i see it.
