hi all do you agree with children being taught to believe in santa, the tooth fairy, the easter bunny etc, the reason i ask is because when they find out the truth it breaks there little hearts and makes them very upset and angry that they was lied to by us the parents, its nice to let your children believe in these fairy tales buts its horrible when they find out the truth and get so upset.

I still believe in Santa, Sure his Spirit uses our parents to buy the money and the gifts... I still believe in the toothfairy... sure again they use my parents to take the tooth away, but sometimes they will give us coins on our own like the angels, our passed on relatives and other nature spirits like to do. Sure, My parents may have presented the Concept of Santa Claus and toothfairy to us as wrong, But I think as we grow older that is one of the first realizations to us to show that our parents are not always right .. is not a totally bad realization at all. I think This does not breed hate, but it shows that people can play, and have humor, and that there is nothing wrong with having fun or celebrations, surrounding something the may or may not be proven. I believe in Santa claus I saw him one. I believe in the Fairies.. I work with Nature Spirits. Many have not witnessed or seen things in the way that I have including my parents. So I am not upset with them for how the presented this, but I was not to happy to see they were using what they seen as a myth or a false belief... or a false believe, as something to be taught... However I was glad and thanksful that my family and the adults around me went out of their way to go through all that work to make my childhood fun and full of magic, and Just because I have grown older, does not mean I have not stopped looking for magick in everything around us.... There will be things always proven and not proven, explained and not explained. Santa Claus belief or not belief amongst many children I realised also helped foster differences between religion and spiritual beliefs... I see nothing wrong with it at all. Eventually as a child grows older, they will analyze and belief for themselves what is real or not real... Some maybe upset at first, but most I think look back at their parents and think, wow thanks for making it fun. At least I do. :) . - DNatureofDTrain
